Like most oldtime banjo players I thought I would learn to play the fiddle.
I bought this, 2006 Lebron Batey, Guarneri Copy Fiddle, new from the builder.
But like most oldtime banjo players I didn't succeed in learning to play.
So as they say ... "My loss is your gain".
Paid $4000 in 2006 and willing to let it go at a healthy discount today.
This is an exceptional fiddle from atop Sand Mountain, Alabama.
100 - 150 year old, air dried maple was used in this third of a series of five special fiddles.
The result is a professional level instrument with tremendous volume and projection.
The fiddle is in as-new condition.
The label reads:
Lebron Beaty
