This excellent violin was made by Orest Putsentela, a member of Ukraine’s premier violinmaking family, the Putsenteli. The head of this family studied in Cremona with some of the top modern Cremonese makers.
Over years of careful making, the Putsenteli have developed their own style and model, which yields a very robust and dark sound, something that is uncommon among new instruments. This particular violin is no exception. It is a pleasure to play and responds well across all registers. It has been played professionally at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and has the power to carry to the back of the hall. Although it has been played since it was finished, it is still in immaculate condition. It has been professionally adjusted by Maxham Violins and played by orchestral musicians in the National Symphony and the Washington National Opera.
It comes with a certificate from the maker. It is in a lightweight shaped case, which will be included unless a different case is requested. Bows are also available.
