This instrument is a Shen SV-1000, top of the line in its day. Not sure if they make these anymore. I am the original owner. There have been no cracks or structural repairs done since I've owned it. It has beautiful wood and all parts are original other than a new bridge.
In the Summer of 2021, I had the instrument regraduated by luthier Royce Burt in Florida. Afterward, I had the bridge redone to better suit me. The violin plays very easily with great response, and I used it on many gigs after I got it back. The tone is full and projects well. The sound is rich and balanced, not too dark, not too bright.
The fiddle will ship with an older hard shell case with a blanket. A bow is not included.
I'm selling because I've since acquired other fiddles and need to free up some space, and this one doesn't get played as much as it should. This will be a great instrument for someone. It currently has Tonica strings on it and sounds good with Helicores as well. It's set up great, broken in, and ready to go.
