This is one of the Lowendall Special Strad Copy violins, made in Berlin during the late 1800's to early 1900's violin. It is in excellent playing condition and has Evah Pirazzi strings The tone is more suited towards fiddling versus classical - it is loud, warm, and has good depth on the G and D strings. Plus, it is very responsive to play and articulates well, making it an enjoyable fiddle to play. It has an appealing warm, brown varnish, slightly darker than the pictures show, and amazingly, does not have any past repairs. Some varnish loss at bridge.
I have a number of violins for sale, so send an email if you are looking for a particular instrument. Please email with any questions.
