German “composite” violin circa 1865. This very old stradavarius style violin body had its neck replaced sometime in its lifetime. More recently, it has been restored by Rafael Storm including repair and cleating of top cracks, regraduated top, new fingerboard, new sound post, new bridge, nut and pegs. The “anno 1730” is not accurate and was probably put there by the original maker to make it seem old as some makers of the 1800s did.
