I just finished restoring this 1930's(?) violin with a John Juzek, Made in Prague label, but I can't be positive that the label is original to the violin (I would bet against it). I regraduated the violin, put in a new bass bar, reset the neck to the correct angle, adjusted the pegs, dressed the fingerboard, cut a new soundpost and bridge, and installed new Helicore strings (I originally had on some cheaper strings but was impressed enough with the tone that I thought it deserved better strings).
There are no cracks however there are some varnish distress, scrapes and a very minor rib bulge. This is a nice playing fiddle with a strong, quality tone. I think it would suit many different styles of playing - bluegrass, old-timey, swing, celtic, or other ethnic styles, i.e., a good all-around fiddle.
Price is $450 plus actual shipping (not to exceed $25 to lower 48). I will include a bow for an extra $25 (can send details and pics if you are interested). If you request additional info or pics I would appreciate a response after you receive them.
I would be happy to discuss this fiddle (or others I have) 541 582-3885 pst . Happy pickin' and bowin'.
