This was my personal fiddle for years. It was made in 2001. It's smooth sounding but really carries. Speaks very easily. I was at a jam once with about 20 people in a circle. The singer was across the circle, doing a song I hadn't heard before. I was playing as softly as I could, trying to work up a break, and the singer could hear me despite my best efforts to be quiet. I've toned it down a bit, but it still speaks very easily and is very easy to hear. The equivalent present day model, the Artisan 750, lists for $2800 on K C strings website. European wood, graduated and finished in Merriam, KS. Has Perfection pegs, set up by me, for me, and well played in.
There's a link to a video in the "more Info" box. Please listen with headphones and listen at real world volume. Speakers of any kind won't let you hear the real sound. A decent set of headphones sounds to me really close to the sound I would hear standing six feet in front of Pat while he was playing.
