For Sale: Gliga Maestro 5 string fiddle - $750 USD
I just bought this Gliga Maestro 5 string violin and realized I'm not much into the 5 strings anymore. So this a great chance to get a like new condition, professionally set up instrument for less than half the cost of a new one. This is a fantastic sounding fiddle, nice dark mellow tone with very good string balance. It plays very easily and the string spacing is very comfortable.
Replaced the original bridge with a better quality professionally cut bridge, Wittner tailpiece, helicore strings, Vision C and E. Will include lightweight oblong case, basic wood bow in good condition, a D'addario clip on violin tuner. Pickup is not included, but available for an extra 75. It is a Kremona vv-3 and works great with this fiddle in the bass wing slot of bridge. Detachable in seconds, and great for someone that changes fiddles often.

For Sale: 2012 Jon Cooper Signature Model fiddle - $18,500 USD
This is a beautiful example of Jonathon Cooper’s Signature Model Fiddle. This was made for me in 2012, and has been played for many hours every day for the last 6 years. It has been my primary fiddle for recording sessions, touring, and home-use. As a result the sound has a stable, broken-in sound that can only come from an instrument with thousands of hours of playing in it… And of course, it has the warmth and depth that Cooper’s are so well known for. That said, it’s also clear and open with incredible response and complexity of tone.
2 years ago I had the neck reset (by master luthier Shirley White in Massachusetts) in order to have a slightly more acute break angle over the bridge while also lowering the action over the fingerboard. The result was incredible. The higher bridge drives the top a little more, and really opens up the high end to a shimmery but never harsh tone. The warmth remains full and broad, and the lower action allows for an ease of left-hand playing that is ideal for the response preferred by bluegrass, oldtime and swing/jazz players.
I have two Cooper violins, and can’t afford to keep them both – and I want this fiddle to be played! I’ve waited 6 months to post this since ad because it breaks my heart to sell this, fiddle… really. It’s a phenomenal. There’s a good reason why so many top professionals make this model of Cooper fiddle their primary instrument. Email me for more questions or video/sound links.

Very old, mid 1800's violin in great shape for it's age. Looks to be German, possibly Mittenwald. Nice 2 piece back with flame. Flat arching on the top and the age gives it a very nice, woody and warm tone, but still plenty of power. A couple of repaired cracks near the f-holes (visible in photos), stable and secure. Easy and fun to play. Very good condition for a 150+ year old fiddle.

Wired to a 1/4" Carpenter Jack. Also wired to a tailpiece with a built in volume/tone knob. You can make the sound darker or brighter depending on how much you turn the knob.

For Sale: Estate sale violin - Lester Bardin - $3,000 USD
My husband Dick Walker was a professional player and during the 1980’s he would have his bows rehaired by Mr. Lester Barton of Arlington, CA. Mr. Barton was a very kind man, a Mormon, was retired, and was listed in Henley’s Encyclopedia of Violin and Bow Makers. He was dying of cancer and selling his things to help provide for his wife. He wrote a note inside the violin describing the wood he used to make this instrument and the difficulty he had in “working it”. The note is on the inside of the back near the neck and is difficult to see.
Recent appraisal from Antonio Strad Violin Shop in San Antonio. Described as follows: An American violin made by Lester Bardin. Made of two pieces of beautifully flamed maple back, rib, neck, with evenly grained spruce top. Evenly applied reddish brown varnish. Good condition. In old case for temporary storage.

For Sale or Trade: 170 year old Fiddle in great condition! - $650 USD
This great old Fiddle is about 170 years old, probably from Mittenwald Germany. Possibly a Mathias Neuner, I don't know for sure. It is in remarkable condition for its age. It has a scroll graft from the 1800's, a few old repaired cracks from 100 years ago or so, but no soundpost cracks. It has very old gut strings, but sounds very good to my ear. Comes in a decent old case for shipping.
May consider quality old repairable violins for partial trade, but I'm trying to raise money for a couple of curly flamed maple logs, so cash is good too!
