I just got this interesting instrument. Freshly planed fingerboard, new double-crowned bridge. It's a "Stainer" copy labeled "KFQ-ROY Imitated Old Violin Stainer 16''" It's quite narrow, and has more of the focused silvery tone than the big Strad sound. I also dressed the neck, adjusted the post, and generally got it working. It doesn't have fine tuners at the moment, has a classical cut to the bridge, and is more suited to Baroque stuff, I imagine.
Body 356 mm, UB 154 mm, CB 97 mm, LB 197 mm (see, pretty narrow!). The wood is spectacular, the varnish work quite compelling, the arching a bit bizarre.
Not for everyone, a bit different, but cheap!
