Very good, loud and projecting Francesco Ruggieri labelled violin with second label "Collection Joh. Stuber Den Haag". The instrument is in a very good condition and probably around 50-100 years old. Violinmaker Uli Schnorr has fitted a new fingerboard, pegs and bass-bar around 1999. Perfect intonation, easy to play in 3rd position etc. Has been selected for studio recordings by technicians for it's clear well balanced sound.
A trained classical violinist played it occasionally and got a superb loud and projecting sound out of this instrument.
Momentarily fitted with Wittner fine tuner tailpiece and Thomastik Spirocore strings. Latter can be altered at costs with a traditional tailpiece and Dominant strings. Comes with invoice for insurance. Violin will be shipped in a sturdy 2nd hand case without bow. A matching bow can be included at extra costs when needed. For classical players: the violin can be set up with Thomastik Dominant strings before shipping at costs.
PLEASE NOTE: the violin will be dispatched seriously packed, with the bridge detached. IT's IMPORTANT TO CHECK if the SOUNDPOST is still in position and not fallen over, and if in doubt, CHECK this with a local Violinmaker BEFORE STRINGING IT UP.
